The first thing you need to ask yourself is: what makes my product or service unique? Why should someone choose me over the competition? Identify your company's USP—unique selling proposition—and focus on that in your video.


Instead of saying, "We offer the lowest prices in the industry", you might say, "Our loyal customers save an average of £500 every year by using our product." Those kinds of statements will resonate better with your target audience and help make your videos more memorable.


Once you've identified your USP, you need to position it in a way that resonates with your target market. Make sure you're addressing the needs of your ideal customer. Remember to think about things like their gender, age, education level, and income level.


Try to include some common keywords that they might use when searching for your product or service online. If it's a particular industry, do your research and find out what those people are talking about on social media or what issues they are facing that your product can solve. Use that information to create content that's relevant and valuable to your target audience.


Once you've got your key message down, it's time to brainstorm ideas for your video content. Consider what types of media your audience enjoys most, such as video, images, text, and audio.


For example, if your target market is made up of millennials, you may want to include both text and graphics in your video. People in that age group tend to be very visual, so relying on just text or audio might be less effective.



Create a video for each platform (e.g. a long-form video for Facebook and a bite-sized video for Instagram). Try to think outside the box and be original with your approach and don't be afraid to try something new!
